We offer a wide ranging number of trips throughout the year; from local favorites
such as Palo Duro Canyon to ski-trips up in Colorado. The Outdoor Pursuits Program
has something for you!
Equipment Rental Information
Planning your own adventure? Need equipment? The Outdoor Pursuits Center maintains
one of the largest inventories of outdoor rental equipment in West Texas. The Outdoor
Pursuits Center is located just outside the North Entrance of the Student Rec Center
on the TTU campus.
Bike Shop
Most bike issues can be easily fixed, so don't miss out on commuting around campus
because of a flat tire or other minor problems. Our student-run bike shop offers these
services and more. Pricing is hard to determine without seeing what the bike needs.
To get a free estimate bring your bike in and let our mechanics help you find the
simplest solution.
Climbing Wall Information
Enjoy the natural elements inside the comfort of the Rec Center! The Climbing Center
offers University Recreation members the opportunity to rock climb year round indoors
while hanging high. The Climbing Center has over 4,000 sq ft of climbing, a 2015 boulder
expansion, two-full length cracks, 10-foot roof section, 16 top-rope stations, 15
lead lines, and climbing routes for the beginner to the advanced climber.
