Vision & Tradition Campaign
The Texas Tech University System has kicked off the Vision & Tradition campaign, a $1 billion fundraising campaign that will help provide the resources necessary to continue the growth and success of the system’s three universities. The funds raised will go toward student scholarships, faculty endowments and facilities to ensure continued growth for each university.
“The Texas Tech University System is making a bold statement about where we want to be as an organization and how we’re going to get there,” said Kent Hance, Texas Tech University System chancellor. “With Vision & Tradition: The Campaign for Texas Tech, we are working to take our institutions to the next level by heightening our investments in the students and faculty who make our university system great.“
In 1996, when Texas Tech became a system, its endowment stood at $60 million. In 2009, the endowment was $679 million, ranking Texas Tech 84th in the country out of the 842 institutions reporting to the National Association of College and University Business Officers. The campaign encompasses all three institutions: Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Angelo State University.
Over the years, generous gifts to Texas Tech University have changed the lives of many students. We hope that these videos will illustrate how your contribution can impact the students who are engineering our future.
