Back to School Fiesta

The 2011 Back to School Fiesta was held on August 13, 2011 at the United Spirit Arena.

If you have any questions about the 2012 Back to School Fiesta or would like further information please email Sarah Shiver at sarah.shiver@ttu.edu or Heather Martinez at heather.martinez@ttu.edu or call the Office of Community Engagement at (806) 742-7017.

Back to School Fiesta is an event which provides the opportunity for members of the local and surrounding communities and their children to visit the Tech campus, learn about numerous educational, local and federal programs and initiatives, and receive free school supplies for the upcoming school year. Originally held in 2001, throughout the past ten years the Back to School Fiesta has increased both in size and effort and last year saw over 5,500 attendees.

Partners

One of the most vital parts of Back to School Fiesta is the involvement of our community partners.  From promotional tables to hands-on engagement, our event offers organizations the opportunity to host activities, displays and demonstrations which encourage education, health and wellness to members of our community and their families. In addition, participation in the Back to School Fiesta outdoor fair provides organizations with the opportunity to engage in low cost, highly-targeted marketing.

If your organization would like to participate in the Back to School Fiesta, and have access to thousands of individuals from Lubbock and the surrounding communities, we encourage you to register using our partner booth agreement form.
