Office of Community Engagement

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Office of Community Engagement to foster a college-achieving culture through programs, partnerships and opportunities which serve the community, promote learning, encourage wellness, and inspire conversations about the value of higher education.

Vision Statement

The Texas Tech University Office of Community Engagement serves as a nexus of Texas Tech University community engagement activities and creates reciprocal local, regional, state, and international partnerships through activities, resources, and support.

Origins

Texas Tech University established the Office of Community Engagement in the spring of 2009 under the direction of Dr. Juan S. Muñoz, Vice President, Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement & Associate Vice Provost, Faculty and Undergraduate Academic Affairs.  Through a combination of K-12, community, institutional, partnership, summer, and bridging programs, the Office of Community Engagement supports the institutional strategic plan and community engagement and outreach priority.
