Dr. Karen Spears is an instructor in the Teacher Education Department in the College
of Education at Texas Tech University. She has had the honor and privilege of being
at Texas Tech since August of 2002. Dr. Spears has taught undergraduate courses,
graduate courses, and served on graduate committees during her time at Texas Tech.
She earned her doctorate from The University of Arizona in May of 2002. Her doctoral
major area of study was teaching and teacher education with a minor in special education.
Dr. Spears also earned two Masters degrees, both in education and both from Boston
College.
