The Planning & Administration Department manages Texas Tech University facilities inventory, reports facilities inventory to the State, maintains campus base maps and building floor plans, and manages the TTU Virtual Information Portal (VIP). They also provide recommendations and automated systems that can be used to monitor and manage departmental facilities information such as teaching, office, and research space. Lastly, they track research projects and facilities associated with each project. 

All requests for additional space, modifications to existing space or changes to the use of space can be submitted using the Request Management System: RMS

Our mission is to provide accurate/real time facilities information in a variety of formats to promote information exchange regarding facilities composition and utilization to maximize resource acquisition, ensure beneficial stewardship of facilities, and enhance decision making.

Virtual Information Portal

Virtual Information Portal (VIP) is a Geographic Information System that was developed to provide a virtual campus information portal for Texas Tech University using the latest online mapping technologies and services.

Facilities Audit Program 

The Facilities Audit Program inspects all E&G buildings on a five year cycle, prepares condition assessments of building systems, reports maintenance plans and activities (Campus Condition Index) to the THECB, escalates and tracks projects created from audit findings, tracks work orders created from audit findings and informs maintenance planning decisions.
