About ODPA

Planning & Administration's primary role is space planning, information management, and information analysis with the core responsibility of collecting, analyzing, and disseminating facilities information that can be used to inform Texas Tech University decisions. As part of the space planning and management process, Planning & Administration is responsible for managing the Texas Tech University facilities inventory which is the definitive source of facilities information used internally and for state/federal reporting. The facilities audit unit is responsible for supporting facilities' quality through a building systems audit process and are the starting point for developing short and long term maintenance strategies. Planning & Administration is also responsible for all Operations Division Information Systems and Information Technology functions with the ultimate goal of ensuring a secure environment with reliable systems that support Operations Division effectiveness. In all endeavors, Planning and Administration works to increase accuracy, increase outputs, reduce operational time, and reduce decision response time.

All requests for additional space, modifications to existing space, or changes to the use of space can be submitted using the Request Management System (RMS).

The mission of the Facilities Audit Program is to provide a comprehensive facility asset management plan that integrates building condition assessments, facility use, and building system life expectancies.

Space Planning & Graphics

Space Planning & Graphics (SPG) provides efficient and functional space planning solutions for TTU. SPG provides graphical support for the facilities inventory, manages all relocation projects, and maintains building drawings for TTU’s 250+ buildings, both on campus and around the state of Texas.
