UTILITIES

The main job of the Central Heating and Cooling Plants (CHACP I and II) is to provide important utilities for many Texas Tech University locations. These plants supply steam, chilled water, compressed air, and RO water to the Main Campus, the Health Sciences Center, University Medical Center, the Museum of Texas Tech University, the Fiber and Biopolymer Research Institute (FBRI), the Innovation Hub at Research Park, and the Institute of Genomics for Crop Abiotic Stress Tolerance (IGCAST) Phytotron.
