The mission of Information Systems is to maintain and support all IS resources across
the entire Operations Division, while providing the highest level of customer service.
The mission of Operations IT Division is to provide the highest quality and most effective
desktop support to our clients — optimizing availability of personal computer systems
and peripherals.

Space Planning Inventory (SPI)
The Space Planning function of SPI provides support, strategic planning, and functional
solutions for the university's spaces as its colleges and departments grow and change.
The development of the TTU Space Model and the Space Management Usage Guide (SMUG)
were derived from the methodology used by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating
Board (THECB).

Strategies
• Provide fast, effective, and efficient short and long-term space planning solutions that align with Texas Tech University strategies. Ensure up-to-date and accurate facilities information along with comprehensive analytics to support decisions. Maximize facilities resources by designing innovative and cost-effective solutions to increase space availability, usability, and quality.
• Develop and implement systems that are secure, stable, easy to use, and continually available. All systems will support Texas Tech University strategies, Operations Division strategies, guarantee data alignment across systems, and exceed customer's expectations.
• Provide global data quality to support Texas Tech University and Operations Division decisions by ensuring data integrity, data alignment, and expert guidance on data usage. Provide end-user access to data through multiple methods and mediums to ensure that all information is available when needed.
