MBA for Professionals - Energy Business Concentration
Begin in January. The 42 credit-hour MBA is a hybrid format, 24-month program. Students are required to come to Lubbock one weekend a month to network and learn in a collaborative environment. Throughout the month, coursework is completed online during times that fit your schedule. Classes meet on Saturdays (12:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.) and on Sundays (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

The concentration includes the following Energy Commerce courses:
ENCO 5301 Structure and Function of the Modern Energy Industry
ENCO 5315 Geopolitics of Energy
ENCO 5321 Energy Markets
ENCO 5365 Energy Project Evaluation and Finance
About the Program
What are the requirements to apply?
You must have a bachelor's degree and at least two years of professional, full-time work experience.
What type of work experience is required prior to applying?
You must have a minimum of two years, full-time, post-baccalaureate experience. Occasionally, we have non-traditional students interested in applying who worked full time prior to returning to school to earn a bachelor's degree. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Do you require the GMAT/GRE?
No, work experience is considered in lieu of the GMAT/GRE.
Do you have a minimum Undergraduate GPA requirement?
We do not have a minimum GPA, each application is reviewed holistically.
Are there scholarships available for this program?
Yes, we do have some competitive scholarships specific to the PMBA program. You will be considered for an award at the time of your admission. Other options for funding such as student loan, financial aid and so on are also available.
The total cost for the two year program is $54,500. This cost includes everything related to the program aside from travel and lodging.
