A commercial banking certificate program for Finance majors!

Commercial Banking Undergraduate CertificateThe undergraduate certificate in Commercial Banking is designed to prepare undergraduate finance majors for careers in commercial banking. Students take four courses related to the commercial banking industry and upon graduation will receive a as well as their B.B.A. degree in Finance. Three of the four courses in the Commercial Banking Certificate program can be used to fulfill the nine hours of electives for finance majors


Special scholarship opportunities are available to students enrolled in the Commercial Banking Certificate Program. In order to become eligible for a scholarship (and to remain eligible), students must have at least a 3.25 GPA.


Banking certificate students will receive top priority for paid internship positions with banks across the state of Texas.

When to Apply

Students should apply upon completion of Fin 3320 with a grade of B- or better, but no later than the end of Fall semester junior year.

To apply, submit your name, contact information, resume, and unofficial transcripts to Whitnie Hill in BA W313. Admission decisions will be made by the Excellence in Banking Program committee.
