Description: Dean Lance Nail of the Rawls College of Business cordially invites you to a presentation by Major General (Ret.) Jeffrey Hammond titled, "Making a Difference Leadership." His service includes duty with the 4th Infantry Division where he deployed his Soldiers to Iraq starting in December 2007 to serve as Commanding General, Multi-National Division Baghdad. Over the years he deployed on four different occasions, three of which involved duty in Iraq and one in Bosnia involving enforcement of the Dayton Peace Accord. Hammond’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (three oak leaf clusters), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (five oak leaf clusters), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (oak leaf cluster), and the Army Achievement Medal (two oak leaf clusters), the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge, the Army Staff Identification Badge and the Army Combat Action Badge (two awards).

Description: Our hope with this event is to allow Rawls faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to come together to raise money for a local charity through a fun and competitive event. Admission to the event is FREE; however, donations are ENCOURAGED! There will also be Softball Showdown T-Shirts for sale; so $20 will get you a new t-shirt and a $5 donation. Come support your team & join us for FOOD. FUN. BRAGGING RIGHTS.
