*** Students are responsible for adhering to all policies concerning the test to be taken. Academic Testing Services does not advise students on which test should be taken to fulfill an academic requirement. Please consult the Undergraduate Catalog or your Academic Advisor for information about fulfilling a credit requirement or transferring a test score.
***All testing is done on a first come, first serve basis. Limited seating is available; however, you will be worked into a testing lab as soon as a computer becomes available.
***During New Student Orientation (and year round), Academic Testing Services provides testing required for state-mandated TSI compliance. (ACCUPLACER, THEA) We also provide optional CLEP testing opportunities that allow students to earn course credit for acquired knowledge. These exams require an approved standardized testing environment and official government ID (driver's license, passport) for admission to the exam. Exams are administered via computer and generate immediate score results, with the exception of the on-campus English CLEP essay which requires more time for grading. These exams are fee based and payable by check, money order, credit/debit card. These exams may be offered at other institutions, but scores accepted and policies regarding use of score reports vary between institutions. It is the student's responsibility to determine if they are taking the appropriate exam and whether official score reports will arrive at the Texas Tech campus in time for advising or registration purposes. Contact: Academic Testing Services at (806) 742-3671 or www.depts.ttu.edu/testing for more specific information.
*** Special Accommodations:
Non-standard testing accommodations must be submitted in writing prior to scheduling an exam. The request must be supported by documentation from a professional who is licensed and certified to diagnose the disability. All requests are subject to approval.
