Tanya Massey

Tanya Massey – University Student Housing

Tanya Arflin Massey earned her bachelor’s degree in Horticulture (Turfgrass Management) and her M.Ed. in Counseling and Guidance Services (Student Affairs Administration) from Clemson University. During her career, she has worked at Clemson University, Kansas State University and has spent the past 16 years at Oklahoma State University. She is dedicated to serving families through their on-campus experience and values how living on campus can positively impact a student. Tanya is a strong believer in education and has served as the Ward 3 board member for Stillwater Public Schools. Tanya has held several leadership roles in regional and national housing organizations, serving as the President of the Southwest Association of College and University Housing Officers (SWACUHO) and holding a position as a review coordinator for the Programming Committee in the Association of College and University Housing Officers International (ACUHO-I). Tanya and her husband have three children, one who will be a first-year student this fall at Texas Tech. In her spare time, she loves to garden, cook and watch her kids play sports. She is also a huge fan of college football and baseball.

Lin Zhou

Lin Zhou – Vice President & Chief Information Officer

With over 25 years of leadership experience, spanning some of the world’s largest blue-chip companies and higher education institutions, Dr. Lin Zhou brings a unique blend of business knowledge and technological expertise to Texas Tech. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Glasgow, with extensive knowledge in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing and technology standards. Before joining Texas Tech, Dr. Zhou served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The New School in New York City. Prior to his position at The New School, Dr. Zhou played a critical role in leading Watson Education from a start-up to a global leader of artificial intelligence in education. Chef John Ventura

John Ventura – Top Tier Catering at Hospitality Services

Chef John Ventura has joined the Red Raider family as an Executive Chef for Top Tier Catering at Hospitality Services. He has an extensive educational background in the culinary arts that has allowed him to craft his skills as a professional chef. He graduated from the Art Institute of Culinary Arts in 1997 with an associate’s in sciences and a specialty in culinary arts. Before coming to West Texas, Chef John sharpened his culinary skills in numerous restaurants across the United States. He was nominated Best Chef of the Panhandle while at 30° Blue Restaurant in Bay Point Marina Panama City, Florida, and received a 4-star review from the New York Times while at Latour Restaurant in Ridgewood, New Jersey. As part of Hospitality Services, Chef John contributes to the success of Top Tier by overseeing the day-to-day operations and teaching culinary techniques to the numerous individuals who cook for the department.
