Connecting with Local Communities
The “We Love West Texas” project has a goal in mind of understanding more about the unique strengths and challenges associated with rural communities across the South Plains and Panhandle regions of Texas. We will explore the topical areas of community development, agriculture, access to healthcare and mental health services, education, and other data relevant to the project. We are interested in ways to connect with local communities. We have undergraduate student researchers who will assist with the project and we want them to be present at community gatherings and festivals, and can also attend public meetings to discuss the project and create partnerships.
