Q: I am receiving an error when trying to register. What do I do?

CAMPUS RESTRICTION: You have picked a section reserved for distance-education students only. Pick a different section, and no, we cannot override this for you.

FIELD OF STUDY RESTRICTION: You have picked a section reserved for students within that specific major only. Pick a different section, and no, we cannot override this for you.

LINKED COURSE REQUIRED: You did not add the required lab/discussion. Remove the lecture and re-add both the lecture and lab simultaneously using the "ADD ALL" button.

PRE-REQUISITE OR TEST SCORE ERROR: You do not have the prerequisite course or test score to enroll in that class. Please contact the department that offers the class for more information.

Q: Where do I check for holds?

A: Log in to your Raiderlink and go to your TTU MyTech tab, click on Registration, then down to Registration Status (Dates and Holds), or follow this link: Registration Status

 

Q: I have a hold; what do I do?

A: First, check to see who the hold is from. Only the office that placed the hold can remove it. For example, SBS holds must be removed by Student Business Services, or BIOL holds can only be removed by the Biology Department.

 

Q: Am I required to meet with my advisor?

A: No, advising appointments are not required, but strongly suggested. Check your TTU email for details about fall/spring/summer advising.

 

Q: I want to minor in Biology or Health Professions, what should I do?

A: Students from other departments wishing to minor in Biology or Health Professions do not need an appointment. Please fill out the Biology Minor Form or the Health Professions Minor Form and email it to your MAJOR advisor for processing.
