TechASM
The Texas Tech Student Chapter of the American Society for Microbiology (TechASM) is a student organization open to all Texas Tech graduate students focused on microbiology and dedicated to promoting microbiology including bacteriology, mycology, protozoology, phycology, parasitology, immunology, and virology. TechASM is a Student Chapter of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). We are one of only 103 student chapters in the United States and one of 9 Texas chapters to be recognized by ASM, the largest single organization devoted to the life sciences in the world. ASM currently has over 40,000 members.

MEMBERSHIP
Members of TechASM engage with fellow microbiology graduate students, participate in microbiology-themed community outreach, and expand their microbiology community both at the local and national level. Full members that complete all membership requirements are eligible for travel and publication funding.
To become a Member of TechASM there are three main components that must be completed to be considered a full member and be eligible for funding: membership to the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), volunteer service hours, and lab manual sales. See our Membership page for more information.
