CISER Board of Presidents

The CISER Board of Presidents (BOP) is a leadership organization combining STEM organizations from Texas Tech. STEM organizations such as, CISER Scholar Service Organization (SSO), West Texas Association for Women in STEM (WT-AWIS), Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanis and Native (SACNAS), International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM), American Medical Student association (AMSA), Dr. Bernard Harris Pre-Medical Society (BHPS), Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta), and Global Health Brigades (GHB) are apart of the BOP. The presidents and vice presidents of these organizations come together to "do less, and get more" by creating certain goals to be achieved in the year.

Goals of the Board of Presidents:

• Coordinate activities of STEM collective groups and share them with other STEM organizations to maximize opportunities
• Test and promote models for organizational structure and hierarchy
• Show importance of different STEM organizations working together to solve complex problems
• Show available career opportunities within the STEM field
• Coordination of higher quality campus wide events
