Congratulations! You are one of the first in your family to pursue and obtain your undergraduate degree. Welcome to the First Gen Family at Texas Tech University!

University life will come with highs and lows. You will experience a variety of human emotions and be exposed to new and diverse opportunities and challenges. For those moments when you feel completely out of control, just know that you have a community of support here for you. You are a part of a phenomenal group of individuals that make up nearly 25% of the Texas Tech University student body.

While our paths may be different and our journeys unique, FGTMP, commits to being a space where all First Generation Students can find a home away from home so that you can make the most out of your university experience and do your absolute best.
