Research

  • AI for Weather–Water and Hydrometeorological Prediction
  • Geoscience Foundation Models and Multimodal Earth Observations
  • Physics-Informed AI for Earth System Prediction
  • AI for Hydrometeorological Extremes and Land–Atmosphere–Water Interactions

My research focuses on developing artificial intelligence methods to improve the prediction and understanding of weather and water systems. I integrate multimodal Earth observations, advanced AI approaches, and physical knowledge to connect atmospheric forcing with hydrologic responses across spatial and temporal scales. A major focus of my research is improving the prediction of floods and other hydrometeorological extremes, while also investigating interactions among the atmosphere, land surface, and water cycle. Overall, my research seeks to develop accurate, interpretable, and scalable AI approaches for Earth system prediction.

Courses

  • ATMO 1300 - Introduction to Atmospheric Science
