About me

Farzane is a Ph.D. candidate in the Interior and Environmental Design program at Texas Tech University. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture and a second master’s degree in environmental design.

During her Master of Architecture thesis, she specialized in patient-centered hospital design, driven by healthcare design's growing demand and importance. Subsequently, she pursued a second master’s degree in environmental design with a focus on healthcare design at Texas Tech University.

Her interests include healthcare design, evidence-based design, and sustainability. She obtained EDAC and LEED GA certificates to deepen her knowledge in these fields. With over ten years of experience working for consultant engineering companies, Farzane has contributed to designing various building types, focusing on architectural design, particularly in design development.

Farzane is also passionate about teaching. She has taught architecture courses in her home country and served as a Graduate Part-Time Instructor at Texas Tech University, teaching Design Studio and Building Information Modeling courses for five semesters.

Currently, Farzane is dedicated to her Ph.D. dissertation, aiming to fill a gap in healthcare design by exploring the role of environmental design in telehealth services.
