Dual Degrees
Master of Business Administration/Master of Science in Sport Management
Purpose and Background
The Rawls College of Business Administration and the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management, in association with the Graduate School, offers a dual-degree program that enables a student to earn both the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science (MS) in Sport Management degrees in two years of academic work. This dual-degree program may be particularly beneficial to students in becoming athletic directors or senior administrators of collegiate or professional sport programs.
Structure of the Program
Both degrees will be awarded on completion of 54 semester credit hours (33 semester credit hours of business courses and 21 semester credit hours of sport management courses). This is made possible by allowing 9 semester credit hours of approved business courses to transfer as electives toward the MS and 9 semester credit hours of approved sport management courses to transfer as electives toward the MBA.
The MBA is only offered online. The MS in Sport Management may be taken entirely in person or entirely online.
