MoTTU Education Division Navajo Quilt Project
The Navajo Quilt Project collects new or gently used fabric, yarn (especially white), thread, quilt batting, and rulers to send to quilters who live on the Navajo Reservation. Donation of any of these items can be placed into the collection bin located in the Education hallway in the Museum (near the store and planetarium). The bin is clearly marked with the logo for the Navajo Quilt Project. The items donated will be mailed by the Education division. Please note that fabric should be no smaller than ¼ yard (9 inches). The collection bin will be available for the next 12 months.
For more information, please contact Dr. Jill Hoffman (Curator of Education): jill.hoffman@ttu.edu.
The project began 10 years ago by the owner of a company named The French General. More information can be found on their website
