What is Studio 360?

Studio 360 is a full-circle, hands-on experience that combines art styles, art history, and art media, inspired by works of art on view at the Museum. Led by the Museum’s Teaching Artists, these engaging studios will deepen your connection to visual art in a carefree and uplifting environment.

What to expect:

  • After you sign in and participate in a warm-up creative activity, Studios begin with a slide presentation about American Art History related to the inspiration artwork.
  • Then we go to the gallery to spend around 20 minutes looking closely at the artwork.
  • Finally, we return to the studio to experiment with a similar art medium, technique, or style, to build a personal and experiential connection to what we’ve learned and seen.
  • We end with a casual group activity for reflection.

Know before you go:

  • Studios are limited to 30 participants.
  • No prior art experience is required.
  • Ages 5 and up with supervision are welcome.
  • Doors close when the studio begins.
  • Supplies are provided.
  • Aprons are available to protect your clothing.
