Vertebrate Database Notes

The Museum of Texas Tech University's online vertebrate database contains data current as of January 24, 2024. For tissues housed at TTU with vouchers held at other institutions or if you are unable to find a particular sample in the database but have reason to believe the sample exists, please contact the Curator of Collections.

This site is currently under development. This version is a prototype. Future additions will include images of specimens and the ability to perform more refined searches. This version includes a filter that blocks general access to specimens and sensitive data.

The data contained in the database are the property of the state of Texas. Any use of these data requires prior written consent of the NSRL Director. The data have been checked for accuracy, but errors may still exist. Any questions regarding the accuracy of the data should be directed to the Curator of Collections. It is the responsibility of the user of the database to verify identifications and other data when required. The NSRL, the Museum of Texas Tech University, and Texas Tech University are not responsible for damages resulting from the use of these data.
