Volunteers make a vital contribution to the Natural Science Research Laboratory (NSRL), bringing new skills and perspectives, and undertaking activities that would not otherwise be carried out.
There are a wide variety of opportunities, from short-term appointments to long-term relationships, for students interested in contributing to the efforts of the NSRL. The NSRL staff will work with a candidate to customize an internship, practicum, or assistantship that achieves the student's requirements while fitting the Museum's goals and capabilities.
We appreciate your consideration in giving a tax deductible donation to the NSRL Fund for Excellence. Your gift will help the NSRL continue its quest to be among the premier natural history collections in the world.
Guided tours of the NSRL for educational purposes may be permitted on a limited basis; please contact the Curator of Collections for more information. Researchers may arrange to visit the collections of the NSRL by contacting the appropriate curatorial staff.
The NSRL is committed to the mission of building and archiving a library of our planet's natural heritage for education and research purposes. The NSRL has much to offer researchers, teachers, students, and the general public.
