Research Interests

My research focuses on the taxonomy and systematics of beetles, specifically on Neotropical broad-nosed weevils (Curculionidae: Entiminae) and water scavenger beetles in the subfamily Acidocerinae (Hydrophilidae). Some of my publications deal with describing species that are new to science. I'm also interested in the management and use of biological collections, as well as in generating data in the context of biodiversity informatics. In addition, I manage anatomy ontologies for insects and beetles.
