This workshop will help relieve your financial burden by showing you where and how to find funding to cover the costs that come with being a graduate student. We'll take a quick dive into databases and search strategies that will help you find the money you need to be successful. This includes special resources for finding funding for international students.

This workshop will provide practical strategies for crafting compelling grant and fellowship proposals, from articulating clear research goals to aligning with funding priorities. Participants will learn how to develop persuasive narratives, structure proposals effectively, and avoid common pitfalls that weaken applications. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with tools to strengthen their proposals.

This workshop will provide practical strategies for avoiding plagiarism by engaging responsibly with sources and developing an original scholarly voice. Participants will learn how to paraphrase effectively, integrate and cite sources accurately, and navigate disciplinary expectations for ethical source use.
