The Undergraduate Writing Center at TTU is recruiting consultants and student assistants who are undergraduate students. We are looking for undergraduate students who are interested in helping their fellow Red Raiders. The Writing Centers of Texas Tech University welcomes applicants from all disciplines, cultures, and language backgrounds.

Undergraduate Consultants in their first semester with the UWC work 6-10 hours a week, which includes a mandatory 1-hour meeting for professional development each week. Consultants' duties include attending paid training that takes place the week before classes start, participating in ongoing training during the first few weeks of the semester, leading consultations with students, attending weekly professional development staff meetings, and other duties, which may include leading orientation sessions and working on projects of interest. Student assistants in their first semester with the UWC work 6-12 hours a week. Their duties include helping clients register for an account, helping students sign up for appointments, answering phone calls, entering information from appointments, and other tasks as necessary.
