Reissued Diplomas (Replacement or Duplicate)
Texas Tech University issues one original diploma to each graduate. Graduates may purchase a replacement diploma if their original has been lost or destroyed, or order a duplicate diploma for personal use.
Replacement and duplicate diplomas can be ordered online through Parchment, Texas Tech's authorized diploma ordering service.
Cost and Processing Time
Cost: $50 per reissued diploma. Additional fees may apply. Payment must be made by credit card.
Delivery: Reissued diplomas are mailed, usually within three to four weeks after the order is completed. Please allow additional time for international delivery.
Graduates Before 1983: Requests for reissued diplomas for students who graduated prior to 1983 require an additional three to five days of processing time.
Reissued Diploma Information
Replacement and duplicate diplomas are issued in Texas Tech University's current diploma format. All reissued diplomas will:
- Display the original degree award date and a reissued date.
- Reflect the current awarding college for the degree.
- Bear the signatures of current Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University System officials.
- Display the same name as the original diploma unless an official name change has been filed with the university.
Note: Reissued diplomas must follow the current university format and signature requirements. No exceptions can be made.
If your name has changed since graduation, you must complete an official name change with the university before ordering a diploma with your updated name.
How to Order
Reissued diplomas are ordered through Parchment using a secure, encrypted ordering system.
- Visit the Parchment ordering website.
- Complete the replacement or duplicate diploma request.
- Submit payment using a credit card.
