We believe it's important to offer an easy, affordable way to protect the investment your family has made in higher education. Texas Tech University has negotiated with GradGuard™ to provide our families with tuition insurance featuring special plans and rates not available to the general public.

Tuition insurance helps students and their families overcome the financial losses that may result from events which force students to withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason.

This tuition insurance coverage* can reimburse up to 100% of your school expenses/payments after an unexpected withdrawal (at any time during the semester) for a covered illness, injury, mental health disorder and more.

Plans also include Student Life Assistance: a 24-hour emergency hotline that offers students and parents even greater peace of mind.

The deadline to enroll for the Summer 2024 term is:

  • TTU – May 31, 2024
  • LAW – June 6, 2024

GradGuard will send you a claim packet, along with an Institution Validation Form that will be completed by Student Business Services at Texas Tech University

  • You must first complete and sign Section 4 of the Institution Validation Form
  • Please email the Institution Validation Form with Section 4 completed to sbs@ttu.edu

Student Business Services will assist with completing your Institution Validation Form. We will coordinate with the Registrar's Office to complete all sections and return the finalized form to you.

Tuition Insurance is optional, however, the coverage is term specific. You will need a new plan each term you would like tuition insurance coverage.

Terms, conditions, and exclusions (including for pre-existing conditions) apply. Plans only available to U.S. residents and may not be available in all jurisdictions. Recommended and provided by Grad Guard, a service of Next Generation Insurance Group, LLC (NGI), the licensed agent for all insurance programs. Insurance plans include insurance benefits and assistance services. Pricing may vary by state. Insurance benefits are underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company (NY, Administrative Office 9950 Mayland Drive, Richmond, VA 23233) rated “A+” (Superior) by A.M. Best Co. Non-insurance benefits/services are provided by AGA Service Company. Claims are administered by Allianz Global Assistance (AGA). AGA and Allianz Tuition Insurance are marks of AGA Service Company or its affiliates. AGA Service Company and NGI are affiliates of Jefferson Insurance Company. Except as expressly provided for under the plan, consumer is responsible for charges incurred from outside vendors. *Withdrawal for psychological/mental disorder requires hospital admittance; physician recommendation to withdraw from institution is required and will be validated for withdrawal due to illness/injury or psychological/mental disorder
