As a STEP Pedagogical Specialist, I enjoy working with faculty interested in implementing Evidence-based Instructional Practices (EBIPs). As my research specialty is Physics Education Research (PER), it is even more exciting to see people implementing instructional practices or materials that have been developed based on the research. To be able to make people aware of these resources, guide them in using them and observe the classroom dynamics and student outcomes, is a wonderful experience.  It benefits all of the instructors and their students. The one-on-one experiences and the Workshops throughout the semester both lead to further and broader discussions of teaching and learning across campus and to further discipline-based education research (DBER). I highly recommend this program to all faculty.
