Welcome to the online space for the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center (TLPDC) at Texas Tech University. It is our primary mission is to support the university's commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, and I have to say, we truly love our jobs. We want to support your success in the classroom and as a member of our campus community, whether that means participation in one of our programs/workshops/conferences, conversation over a cup of coffee or tea, or connecting with others around campus.
The TLPDC is known for our warm hospitality and helpful spirit, and this has not changed in nearly 25 years of serving our campus community. Please feel free to contact any staff member of the TLPDC for help. We are easily reached by email, and we are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. To find the TLPDC on campus, the following directions might be helpful: The TLPDC is located in the northeast corner of the University Library. If you enter the Library through the Croslin Room from the east side (nearest the Student Union Building), turn right and the TLPDC will be at the end of a short hallway. The center is marked with an official sign as well as a large screen advertising our services. Classrooms can be found through the double doors to the right of the screen and you can find our offices by stepping through the door located to the left of the screen. Someone at the front desk will greet you warmly and gladly help you find the right person.
I invite you to look through our website to find out more about who we are and what we do. Take a look at the resources we offer, and if you don't see what you're looking for, let us know. We have an active presence on Facebook and Twitter, and invite you to follow us if you're inclined, as we continue conversations about teaching, learning, and your professional development.
On behalf of the TLPDC team,
Suzanne Tapp, M.A.
Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Success
