Jerylme Robins is the Assistant Director of the Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences (TrUE). He is a Lubbock native who sums himself up as an “Education Professional, Musician, and Family Man.”

After a two-year stint as a vocal performance major in the TTU School of Music, Jerylme decided to pivot and eventually earned an Associates of Applied Arts in Commercial Music from South Plains College in 2006. He persisted and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Wayland Baptist University in 2008 followed by a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in 2010.

Jerylme was lucky enough to have the opportunity to cut his professional teeth at Texas Tech University. He served for almost 13 years working in various roles with all levels of administrators, students, staff, and faculty to develop and implement initiatives related to Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. Jerylme is most proud of his work growing the scope and reach of the Texas Tech University Undergraduate Research Conference. Jerylme ventured into the K-12 arena in 2019 through mid 2021 by serving as a K-8 music teacher, an experience which he thoroughly enjoyed. Jerylme says, “My time as a K-12 classroom teacher gave deeper perspective regarding the importance of intentionally including transformational experiences during a student's journey – starting in kindergarten and continuing through their time in the higher education setting.” Jerylme returned to Texas Tech with reinvigorated focus in late 2021.

When not at work, Jerylme loves hanging out with his wife, Kimberly, and watching their two sons participate in various sporting and academic events. He channels his creative energy through music production and performing Neo-Soul/R&B music for crowds around the Lubbock community.
