Mission
The Institute for Hispanic and International Communication (IHIC) in the College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech University promotes better understanding of Hispanic-related and international media communication through research, teaching and community outreach. Our goal is to create knowledge and encourage greater intercultural awareness through informed interaction among students, teachers, researchers, media industry representatives and community organizations. The Institute supports on-campus initiatives as well as external activities and collaborations related to its mission.
Upcoming Events
- The Institute for Hispanic and International Communication is pleased to be co-sponsoring the Global Lens Film Series for the fifth consecutive year. The screenings take place on Thursday evenings at 6:00 in CoMC 083 February 21 through May 2 (except March 14). The series schedule is available at www.depts.ttu.edu/comc/programs/globallens/

- “Reaching Audiences: Exploring Opportunities in Hispanic Media and Market Research” a conference co-sponsored with Dr. Erik Bucy, Marshall and Sharlene Formby Professor in Strategic Communication March 3-4 in the College of Media & Communication.
