Sevilla, Spain

Sevilla, Spain

This exciting faculty led study abroad opportunity will takes place during the Maymester in Sevilla, Spain. Teacher Candidates will attend class at the Texas Tech University Center, located in southern Spain and actively engage with K-12 students in local schools, gaining 3 hours credit toward their degree plan. EDTP 3312 is typically taken during the final semester of student teaching. Studying abroad will fulfill this requirement as well as offer an international education experience! TTU students will stay with host families and have many opportunities for excursions led by TTU Center Staff.

Dominican Republic

In a Maymester Study Abroad trip to Santiago, Dominican Republic, students live with Dominican families during their stay, work daily in a bilingual school, and attend an evening university course with local Dominican teachers.

Excursions include the rain forest in Jarabacoa, the beaches in Puerto Plata, and local museums in Santiago.

Salamanca, Spain

TTU College of Education students in Salamanca, Spain

In Salamanca, Spain, the students take Spanish language and culture classes daily at Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, work in two trilingual schools and participate in excursions to Madrid, Toledo and Segovia.
