For the fourth consecutive year, the Texas Tech University Jerry S. Rawls College of Business has been named one of the best business schools in the United States for their Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Bloomberg Businessweek Ranking

Bloomberg Businessweek named Rawls College No. 73 in its ranking of best business schools for 2019-20, encompassing full-time MBA programs across the United States. The rankings, which were released Nov. 4, were based on survey responses from 9,000 MBA students, 14,920 alumni and 900 corporate recruiters about their goals and experiences, as well as job placement and compensation data from each considered school.

"The Rawls MBA ranked seventh overall in Texas and fourth in the state among public institutions," said Rawls College Dean, Margaret L. Williams. "I am pleased that our continued focus on excellence is being recognized by the Bloomberg ranking."

In comparison to last year's ranking, Rawls College climbed seven spots overall which can be attributed, in part, to updated curriculum focusing on project-based learning, the hiring of talented faculty and dedication/support from staff, alumni, and the business community.

"We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, students and alumni," said Mayukh Dass, associate dean of graduate programs and research at Rawls College. "We look forward to continued growth as we strive to build innovative programming that will help our students achieve excellence."

In addition to the overall ranking, each school is separately ranked on four component indexes – learning, entrepreneurship, networking and compensation – providing students additional ways to evaluate what schools have to offer. Rawls College ranked highest in the learning category at No. 20, an increase of 23 spots from last year. Rawls College also advanced in the entrepreneurship and networking categories, ranking No. 35 in entrepreneurship and No. 62 in networking. Rawls College ranks No. 84 in the compensation category.

"The ranking of No. 20 in the learning category is especially gratifying and should catch the attention of prospective students," said Williams. "The credit is due to the outstanding faculty teaching in this program and the leadership of our graduate programs staff."

Rawls College offers four MBA programs – a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) MBA, a professional MBA, an online MBA and a dual degree MBA program that allows students to pursue an MBA in conjunction with another master's degree. Learn more about MBA programs at Rawls College.
