Chief Bonath
Chief Bonath was recognized at the 2024 Mortar Board Apple Polishing Ceremony. The Apple Polishing Ceremony serves to recognize influential staff and faculty from Texas Tech University. Each Mortar Board member is given the opportunity to nominate their most influential professor, advisor, or research mentor to be recognized at the ceremony. Congratulations Chief!
Texas Tech Grounds Wins A Green Star Award
The Professional Grounds Management Society recognized Texas Tech University - R7 Pedestrian Mall with an Honor Award in the Society's 2022 Green Star Awards competition. The award was given in the Public Works Site category for exceptional grounds maintenance.
STARS Silver Institution
Texas Tech University was recognized by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education as a STARS Silver Institution for the second year in a row based on its reported accomplishments in campus sustainability. The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating Systemâ„¢ (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. It addresses the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability.
Sarah Cody
Sarah Cody with Accounting Services was recognized as a Future of the Field honoree and as a rising star in research administration by the Society of Research Administrators International.
Stephanie Laughlin
Stephanie Laughlin was awarded the Bob Cooke Distinguished Service Award, which was designed to recognize service, dedication, and significant contributions to student housing at a specific college or university. Congratulations Stephanie!
Outstanding Custodial Worker of the Year
Four Operations Division custodial staff members received the Outstanding Custodial Worker of the Year Award during the 21st Annual Simon Institute Symposium: Angel Montes, Edgardo Berrios, Modesta Diaz, and Aracely Corona. Each recipient was recognized for their hard work and dedication to following the OS1 cleaning procedures.
