"Hub City"

Lubbock is known as the "Hub City" because it is surrounded by five major highways? This gives the appearance of a hub on a wagon wheel, hence the nickname.

Population

As the 11th largest city in Texas, Lubbock boasts a population base of more than 280,000 people, and in 2013, more than 5.5 million visitors came to the "Hub City."
