Abstract

Good safety practice is of paramount importance because it prevents injuries and fatalities, property, and environmental damage, as well as associated cleanup costs and regulatory fines. Everyone plays a critical role day to day in implementing safety practice to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other people. In this seminar we will discuss topics including emergency response protocols, hierarchy control of exposure to hazards, safety culture, lessons learned from past incidents, and available safety resources on campus.
