Texas Tech University

Prepare for Your Upcoming Semester

An important step to enrolling at Texas Tech each academic year is applying for financial aid. We've outlined the steps below to guide you through the process. Our team of financial aid advisors are dedicated to assisting you and your family with any questions regarding financial aid and scholarships.

Log into RaiderLink (www.raiderlink.ttu.edu) and access the Financial Aid portal to view your award by clicking “View/Accept Aid.”

Carefully review each type of aid offered:

  • Grants   Scholarships (do not need to be repaid)
  • Federal Student Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized – must be repaid)

If you do not see a financial aid package, be sure that you have added Texas Tech University (FICE Code: 003644) to your FAFSA.

Estimate your billable amount and identify any remaining balance not covered by aid by using the Estimated Cost Sheet.

Use the TTU Tuition Estimator at Student Business Services, if needed.

Accept, decline, or decrease federal loans as needed.

Inform us of any external scholarships by visiting Scholarships.ttu.edu and clicking on “Report External Awards.”

Complete Entrance Counseling and the Master Promissory Note (MPN) at studentaid.gov.

These are required before federal loan funds can be disbursed.

These requirements will remain in a “required” status until we begin originating loans in mid-July. We cannot update the status before that time.

Ensure that your high school information (even as a transfer student) is completed on your FAFSA, as it can delay disbursement.
