STUDENT FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS

Texas Tech University

Your Success is our Mission. Let's Get Started.

On July 4, 2025, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act was signed into law, introducing changes to certain federal student aid programs, including the Federal Direct Loan program. We are actively reviewing the legislation to understand its implications for our students and their families. We will share additional guidance and updates, including the timeline for implementation and any mandated actions, as more information becomes available from the U.S. Department of Education and other relevant authorities.

Enrolling in college is a considerable financial commitment, but an invaluable investment. The mission of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is to ensure students can study at Texas Tech regardless of their ability to pay. Striving to maximize funds, exercise good stewardship, and support student success, we work together to:

  • Assist in the recruitment, retention, and success of our students
  • Uphold federal, state, and institutional policies and practices
  • Recognize academic success of our students
  • Support the University’s enrollment and campus community goals

We are here to support your success.
