
Nichole Morelock, Ph.D., LMFT
The College of Health & Human Sciences at Texas Tech University has named Nichole Morelock as the founding chair of the Interdisciplinary Human Sciences department, effective March 1, 2025.
Morelock brings a strong interdisciplinary background and a proven record of leadership to the role. She has been instrumental in developing and expanding the counseling and addiction recovery sciences undergraduate program, and her experience will be invaluable in shaping the departments future.
Before this appointment, Morelock served as associate chair in the Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences (CFAS) and program director of the Counseling, Addiction, and Recovery Sciences (CARS) undergraduate degree program. Her leadership in these roles fostered growth and collaboration, positioning her well to lead the new department.
