Shariful Islam was invited as a keynote speaker at the 5th International Conference on Applied Intelligence and Informatics (AII 2025), held October 28–30, 2025, in Washington, D.C. His keynote address highlighted cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence and informatics for healthcare applications. Islam also participated in an expert panel discussion on “Multi-Agent Systems Safety and Teamwork: Issues and Perspectives”  and chaired a session on “Collaborative Learning at Scale in Healthcare”.

Natalia Velikova recently participated in the American Society for Enology and Viticulture – Japan Chapter (ASEV Japan) Conference in Kōfu, Yamanashi Prefecture. She delivered a presentation titled “Elevating Japanese Wine Tourism: A Sustainable Future,” which examined strategies for developing Japan’s wine tourism sector through sustainability, innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Doctoral student Anna Nelson presented her research findings at the 2025 ObesityWeek Conference titled "Sexually Dimorphic Response to Diet-Induced ​Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease in Mice". Co-authors were labmates from the Integrative Nutrition and Cardiometabolic Health Lab, Reva Ann Rudolph and Seyed Ali Abbas Hashemi.
