Melanie Schmitt and Karen Alexander presented at the national ACTE conference in San Antonio on December 5th. Their presentation was titled, "Artificial Intelligence in the FCS Classroom: The Future Awaits!"

Melanie Schmitt presented on "AI and the Future of Work" for a Leadership Pampa group on December 11th.

Fereshteh Dehghani's study, "Branched-chain amino acids acutely increase hedonics for sucrose," has been accepted for poster presentation at the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior (SSIB) 2024.

Zobayda Haque, a doctoral student in the Neurobiology of Nutrition lab, presented her poster on "Circulating BCAAs are associated with cognitive decline and metabolic dysregulation in APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer's disease" at 23rd TTU Graduate Research Poster Competition & the 8th Annual Symposium on Brain Health at TTUHSC.

An undergraduate UMSI (Undergraduate to Medical School Initiative) student from the Honors College presented her poster on "BCAA treatment for a week suppresses insulin signaling in liver" at the TTU Undergraduate Research Conference.
