Nazura Kabir Chowdhury

Bio
Nazura Kabir Chowdhury is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Texas Tech University, and her advisor is Dr. Kristina Petersen. She received her B.S and M.S. in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. As part of her M.S. thesis, she worked to estimate the carotenoid and total phenol content of some unconventional vegetables consumed in Bangladesh. She did an internship in a community-based project in rural Bangladesh supported by Johns Hopkins University. After her M.S., she worked as an Instructor in the Department of Public Health and Nutrition at Primeasia University, Bangladesh until June 2018. Her current research focuses on the association of dietary patterns and their components (e.g., nuts) with CVD risk.
