Graduate Nutrition Organization (GNO)
The Graduate Nutrition Organization (GNO) at Texas Tech University is a vibrant community
dedicated to supporting graduate students in the Department of Nutritional Sciences.
GNO facilitates professional growth and personal connections through various activities,
including:
- Networking opportunities: GNO hosts meetings, social gatherings, and recreational events to foster connections among students and mentors, enhancing the graduate experience.
- Skill development: Members gain leadership and presentation skills by participating in professional discussions, academic symposiums, and structured events, including the annual Round Table Discussion and Professional Development Workshop.
- Community engagement: GNO encourages volunteerism, offering members the chance to engage with Lubbock's community through events like the South Plains Food Bank Community Farm and Family STEM Night, promoting awareness of nutrition and wellness on campus and beyond.
