Christyn Harkins

Bio

Christyn Harkins is a senior pre-medical Nutrition major with a minor in Biology at Texas Tech University. She is part of the American Medical Students Association, Undergraduate Research Scholars, and an Honors College ambassador. In April 2019, Christyn placed 2^nd in the Undergraduate Research Conference. In November 2020, she will present her project “Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) surgery, but not caloric restriction, increases reward-related genes within the Ventral Tegmental Area in mice fed a high-fat diet” at the ObesityWeek Conference. In 2019, Christyn also received the Undergraduate Research Experience Grant for her research.
