We will...

  • Expand marketing efforts to showcase revised programs and curriculum options, including TTU Online and TTU main campus 16-week online offerings.
  • Revise recruitment strategies in collaboration with program faculty to ensure targeted and effective outreach.
  • Strengthen academic advising excellence through enhanced training, consistency, and proactive support.
  • Improve undergraduate program pathways leading to TTUHSC professional programs.
  • Maximize student engagement and sense of belonging within the College of Health & Human Sciences through intentional programming and communication.
  • Build and strengthen meaningful connections between students, the Advising Team, and the Student Services Office.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Grow undergraduate enrollment by 2% to align with TTU.
  • Increase 4-year graduation rate to 53% to align with TTU.
  • Increase 6-year graduation rate to 70% to align with TTU.

High Impact Practices

  • Promote student success measures such as our Student Success Specialist, encourage use of tutoring services when needed, and promote overall support resources through Student Services.
  • Implement earlier grade audits each semester (weeks 6 and 9).
  • Provide ongoing professional development for advisors on program pathways.
  • Increase proactive outreach for D/F students and create remediation plans.
  • Collaborate with Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE), Student Disability Services (SDS), Support Operations for Academic Retention (SOAR), and the Counseling Center to address barriers to student success. Implement peer mentoring networks in high-risk majors.
  • Increase student interaction with the College of Health & Human Sciences through ENHANCE: Your CHHS Connection.
  • Enhance the student organization community through the Dean’s Leadership Council, Student Services Grants, and the student newsletter and other communications. Update resources for students to share concerns and ideas.
  • Develop year-round collaboration with Community and Recruitment teams.
  • Implement targeted marketing for high-demand majors (Dual, HS, ID, etc.).
  • Build an annual College of Health & Human Sciences Preview Day in partnership with TTUHSC professional programs.
  • College Connections—Examples include Welcome Back Pop Up Breakfast, Finals Pop Up Breakfast, Graduation Celebration, College of Health & Human Sciences Student Organization Fair to help students explore and connect with organizations aligned with their interests and career goals.

  • Improve overall student physical, emotional, and mental wellness.
  • Expand relationships and collaboration with TTUHSC for specialty updates throughout the year.
  • Enhance efforts to support student academic wellness.
  • Strengthen connections to Community, Family, & Addiction Sciences (CFAS) clinics.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Development of a needs assessment to be completed by 2027.

High Impact Practices

  • Collaboration with TTUHSC: working with TTUHSC School of Nursing to develop reporting measures with Dual Nursing students. The goal also includes all Pre-Health track admissions.
  • Explore Dual BSN/HS with TTUHSC El Paso SON.
  • Generate emergency financial support resources for students in collaboration with Raider Relief for financial wellness.
  • Continue to support our designated Student Success Specialist.

We will...

  • Collaborate with community leaders to build meaningful relationships with College of Health & Human Sciences students.
  • Establish structured opportunities for College of Health & Human Sciences students and community leaders to interact through mentorship, outreach, and professional engagement activities.
  • Assess existing partnerships and identify new partnerships to improve our ability to deliver high-impact mentoring opportunities.
  • Create an annual College of Health & Human Sciences/TTUHSC Professional Pathways Expo.
  • Promote collaboration among student organizations through shared community speaker events on common themes.
  • Initiate outreach to community leaders to develop learning, mentoring, and experiential opportunities that support the academic and professional growth of all College of Health & Human Sciences students.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Workforce opportunities assessment for data related to students working in the community.

High Impact Practices

  • Sustain and expand the Dean’s Advisory Council by leveraging External Relations initiatives and strengthening alumni involvement.
  • Establish grant opportunities for student organizations to host professional guest speakers relevant to their disciplines.
  • Innovation Hub collaboration for research opportunities designated for undergraduate students.
