  • Create opportunities that equip researchers to translate their research and creative activities into solutions.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Actively promote research and creative activity done by College of Health & Human Sciences faculty and students via social media, news stories, and marketing campaigns.
  • Increase the number of national and international conference presentations and exhibits by College of Health & Human Sciences faculty.
  • Establish an interdisciplinary College of Health & Human Sciences community advisory board designed to assist with the development of community-related studies, participant recruitment, and dissemination of research results.

High Impact Practices

  • Produce important media, communications, and marketing stories.
  • College of Health & Human Sciences Centers and Institutes provide empirically based knowledge and support throughout the community.

  • Equip faculty with resources and training to engage in high-quality research and creative activities.
  • Maintain high expectations of faculty with research appointments to consistently engage in research and creative activities that are supported by competitive external and internal funding.
  • Encourage faculty to apply for external funding opportunities such as federal, state, private, and foundation sources.
  • Provide faculty with individualized assistance in identifying external funding opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Increase the number of external funding proposals and awards.
  • Increase the number of faculty submitting external funding proposals.
  • Increase the number of doctoral students supported by external faculty grants.
  • Continue to provide competitive seed funding to College of Health & Human Sciences faculty that can be leveraged in external funding proposals.
  • Increase the number of high-quality scholarly publications and creative activities by College of Health & Human Sciences faculty.

  • Increase investments in interdisciplinary teams.

  • Cross-college collaboration seed grant.
  • Faculty research forums.

  • Seek TUF proposals by engaging in collaborative initiatives with other TTU researchers.
  • Recruit, retain, and support the excellence of faculty and staff to achieve these goals.

  • Promote research opportunities for undergraduate students in the college.
  • Support undergraduate students to find research placements with faculty.
  • Provide resources to support faculty and undergraduate students in these partnerships.

  • Increase the number of undergraduate students in the College of Health & Human Sciences involved in research.
  • Support faculty by including and recognizing undergraduate research mentorship in annual faculty reviews and promotion and tenure processes.
  • Provide seed funding to faculty for undergraduate research projects.
  • Grow university-wide initiatives to support and enhance undergraduate research opportunities.
