Kylie Hutcherson

Meet Kylie Hutcherson, a Lubbock native who began attending TTUISD in the summer of 2015 and recently graduated from the program this past January.

“I can honestly say that my decision to attend Texas Tech was one of my best,” Kylie said.

Kylie said she chose TTUISD to finish out her high school education because she needed a program that was flexible with her schedule and a school that would allow her to work at her own pace while still being challenged academically.

“TTUISD met my needs perfectly,” Kylie said. “Compared to a traditional school, I liked TTUISD much better. I enjoyed the flexibility and the one-on-one opportunity that I received with my teachers.”

While taking courses through TTUISD, Kylie was able to meet another local Lubbock TTUISD student and the two become close friends.

“I loved that I knew someone that was also attending the high school,” Kylie said. “We were able to help each other out on challenging assignments and study together for the finals.”

Some of Kylie's favorite things from her time with TTUISD include the challenging aspects of each subject, the helpful attitudes of the teachers and counselors, and the flexibility of the program.

Kylie plans on continuing her education and would like to become a labor and delivery nurse at a Lubbock hospital in the future.

Kylie said she loved TTUISD and always felt challenged. “Compared to a traditional school, I would choose TTUISD every time.”
